Amarillo League of Women Voters host education forum

The Amarillo League of Women Voters held a forum discussing Proposition A, aimed at making Amarillo a “sanctuary city for the unborn.” If approved, the measure would permit citizens to file lawsuits against anyone suspected of aiding an abortion, even out-of-state. The forum addressed legal and medical concerns, and participants questioned the proposition’s enforceability. While no proponents of the proposition attended, advocates held a separate event, claiming it would protect women. The League urged voters to consider all perspectives before voting.
